Patient Update - Retired Triathlete: No Longer Retired!

Hi Everyone,

 

It is with great joy that I let you know that I returned to the sport of Triathlon yesterday.  I competed in the San Diego International held in Spanish Landing.  I've been doing this race off and on since it's inception in 1985.  It includes a mile swim, 18 mile bike and a 6.2 mile run.  Modest by Ironman comparisons but fairly strenuous given my recent health challenges! 

 

This was my first race in almost 4 long years.  Bari and the kids were on hand to cheer me on and we had a great time.  I didn't race so much as I smiled and enjoyed the experience - consequently my times were not up to my 2003-2004 standards but I couldn't care less.  I'm much less competitive now but a lot more thankful to be blessed with the health that I have.  I have no goals or races on the horizon - just enjoying being active and fit again!  Also, I am enjoying golfing way too much to get Triathlon serious. 

 

I owe my current fitness to the great healer - My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Thanks to everyone who have been continually praying for me throughout the years.  I also couldn't have come back without the endearing and unending support of my soul mate Bari and the loving kids that we are blessed with - Conor and Audree.  Finally, I want to especially thank Dr. David Shores who has become a friend and mentor in many ways.  In six months under his care, I have regained my energy, my fitness and my overall well being.  He is a healer who is doing great things in the Lord's name.  www.drshores.com

Heavy Metals, Infections, Fatigue and Brain Fog

For many years I have experienced chronic fatigue, brain fog, difficulty concentrating, insomnia, headaches, neck & low back pain, anxiety & digestive problems, and recently piriformis pain & daily disequilibrium.  Things seemed to be going from bad to worse and I didn’t know where to turn for help. After all, I had already been to chiropractors, MDs, Naturopaths, Nutritionists, Bio-Feedback, Acupuncturists, Physical Therapy, and Hypnotism. 

After reading Dr. Shores’ blog, I was very interested in his approach with bio-response testing and heavy metal detoxification.  It seemed to take the guesswork out determining the underlying issues, and the price was right!

I began treating with Dr. Shores in Feb 2009.  Bio-response testing showed multiple heavy metal toxicities, many infections & inflammations, parasites and fungus.   

Within 4 visits my brain fog, concentration and energy improved significantly.  The disequilibrium is completely gone.  Dr. Shores was able to clear the emotions causing the piriformis pain and the pain has not returned. 

Dr. Shores uses great care in addressing structural, neurological, nutritional, and emotional health.  I feel confident that we will continue to uncover and release more layers and my sleep, neck & back pain will improve more and more.
