Bio-response testing is a term used to describe proccedures that allow a practiotioner to gain pertinent information about a patient. Chiropractors have been using these tests for approximately fifty years as part of their analysis to determine where, when and what direction to adjust. I take things a couple steps further by also checking for emotional and chemical interferences to healing. The most common bio-response tests are: muscle tests, leg length checks and the occipital drop. I believe, through my testing and comparing, that these tests all give the practitioner the same results. Personally I use all three test but the one I use most frequently is the occipital drop as seen below.
These tests give a yes/no binary answer to a question posed. The question is posed and the body responds. See the pictures to see a no/yes answer. 
This is an example of a no answer. When the thumbs are placed at the base of the skull they are level.
This is an example of a yes answer. When the thumbs are placed at the base of the skull the left side is considerable lower and thus called the "occipital drop."
